What an incredibly beautiful, humbling and awe inspiring day. I’ve never experienced such beauty or such a sense of serenity. We hiked up the Emerald Lake Trail in Rocky Mountain National Park hitting just over 10,000ft. Lungs and legs were definitely working hard. Thank you @essentialomnivore and @healthfulwithheather for being the best adventure buddies!
Working on those deep diaphragmatic breaths today. Learning to engage the breath is step one in postpartum recovery and strength building and is truly a continual practice. There’s no room for sucking-in in weightlifting or really in life. ➖➖➖➖➖ @essentialomnivore and I talked alllll about the importance of deep belly breaths on the @youhaveabodypodcast this week. In the meantime, find some space on the ground, elevate your feet and place your hand just below your belly button and your other hand on your chest Breathe deeply into the hand on your belly, without letting the hand on your chest rise.
